WHO WE ARE?
IMS’s mission is to build the number one Supply Chain Management Ecosystem that controls the cost of goods, reduce waste and increase the bottom line for our clients locally and regionally.
IMS core business was providing inventory stocktaking services, mostly to local small to medium size companies since our incorporation in 2004. Due to an increased customer demand for purchasing and inventory management software, IMS has diversified from its core business into the development of a purchasing and inventory management software platform called IMS-OS™.
The IMS team is made up of young professionals in the main areas of purchasing & inventory management, stock auditing, software development to full warehouse management, led by Mr. Roy E. Browne, who is the Founder and Managing Director of Inventory Management Solutions Inc.
Roy E. Browne
Mr. Roy E. Browne is the Founder and Managing Director of Inventory Management Solutions Inc.
He is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and control for all aspects of the company’s activities. He has over twenty five (25) years’ experience in the hospitality industry in many roles. He was the Speaker at the inaugural Caribbean Food, Hotel & Restaurant Workshop on the topic How to Run a Profitable Hospitality Business through Cost Control & Purchasing.
As Property Manager for one of the Intimate Hotels of Barbados properties, he sat on the Board of the Intimate Hotels of Barbados. Working closely with local leading hotels, he developed a proprietary purchasing and inventory management software platform, which is used locally and within the region.
He holds a Diploma in Business Management from Reading University UK, a supervisory management NVQ level 3 certificate with the British Institute of inn-keeping and the Hospitality Awarding Body, a certificate in Purchasing & Inventory Management from the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity.
He trained with the Licensed Trade Stock Auditors of England. He entered the profession after seeing its scope and potential as a Trainer for Micros Fidelio, a leading IT solutions vendor and hosting provider for the hospitality, retail, travel and cruise industries, where he installed POS systems and trained management and staff.
He has also worked with NDC Stocktaking Services in the UK, and Marriott International where he gained a number of Marriott International management certificates.
